Luca Bigazzi to hold workshops in Fajr fest

Italian Cinematographer Luca Bigazzi has been set to attend the 37th Fajr International Film Festival in Iran.

The Internationally celebrated artist will be holding several workshops on sidelines of this edition of the Iranian event.

Bigazzi has so far attended several prestigious festivals with award-winning movies as their director of photography. He is a seven-time David di Donatello awards winner from a total of 14 nominations.

The Italian cinematographer collaborated with Abbas Kiarostami on the late Iranian director’s 2010 movie ‘Certified Copy’.

Kiarostiami’s film has famous cast members, including the French actress Julliette Binoche and the British opera singer William Shimell.

Established in 1982, the Fajr International Film Festival is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.

Since its establishment, the Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of the Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The 37th Fajr International Film Festival is scheduled to take place in the country’s capital of Tehran on April 18-26, 2019.
